Your childhood is
sitting in a box
in your mom's closet.
Those VHS tapes and camcorder cassettes are fading a little more every year. The RVT Digitizer turns them into clean MP4s you can text, post, and back up — in your own living room, without a computer.
From your mom's closet to your phone, in three easy steps
No software. No computer. You never mail your tapes away. If you can plug in a game console, you can do this.
Plug it in
Hook up your VCR or camcorder with the cables in the box. Then plug in the USB drive — that comes with it too. It takes about five minutes. You don't have to sort or label anything first.
Press record
Put a tape in your VCR or camcorder and press play. Then press record on the Digitizer. The built-in screen shows the video as it saves, so you know it is working. Your tapes stay in your house the whole time.
Watch & share
Your videos save as MP4 files on the drive. Text them, post them, or play them on your TV. No app. No account. No monthly fee.
Irreplaceable tapes deserve a safe plan
Most digitizing services ask you to mail your only copy to a warehouse. We built the opposite.
🏠 Your tapes never leave home
Nothing gets shipped, sorted, or lost in a facility. The originals stay on your shelf where they belong.
🔒 Your files stay yours
Plain MP4 files on your own USB drive. No cloud lock-in, no subscription holding your memories hostage.
🛡️ 2-year warranty
Hardware covered for two full years. If it fails, we replace it — no receipt archaeology required.
↩️ 30-day money back
Try it on one tape. If it's not for you, send the unit back within 30 days for a full refund.
🇺🇸 US-based support, 24/7
Text or call a real person in the US. Average first reply under 10 minutes, day or night.
📼 Works with what you own
VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV decks, camcorders, and retro consoles with RCA or S-Video out.
Don't take our word for it
Collected by Trustify from verified buyers. Most give us five stars, and we publish every review that comes in — good or bad.
"This product was amazing! Very simple to use. My husband works with AV quite frequently and said it was very well done. I'm not tech savvy and was able to figure it out. So glad we can have our memories from old VHS home videos saved in a safe place!"
"This product is BAD ASS! Got to actually see my dad's college football game from 1982 and my brother's little league baseball season and SO MUCH MORE!"
"Incredibly simple to use, even for someone like me who isn't particularly tech-savvy… What really stood out was the superb customer service. Now I can relive and share precious memories that were trapped on aging VHS tapes."
The formats it digitizes
Plug in the player you already own — a VCR, a camcorder, a console, a tape deck. The Digitizer records whatever comes out of it, straight to USB.

Videotapes
VHS, VHS-C, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, Digital8 and MiniDV — from any VCR or camcorder.

Retro consoles
N64, SNES, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Genesis — anything with RCA or S-Video out.

Vintage audio
Cassettes, vinyl records and reel-to-reel, through any deck or turntable with RCA out.

on the big screen

Watch them anywhere. Pay nothing extra.
Other services trap your memories behind an app login and bill you every month to keep watching. You get plain MP4 files on your own drive — so every one of these is free, forever.
No subscriptions. No cloud fees. No account required.
Share straight to social
Your files download as standard MP4s, so they post to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or the family group chat with no converting first.
Upscale it for the TV
Sharpen and upscale grainy tape footage so it fills a modern screen instead of sitting in a tiny blurry box.
Plug the USB into your phone or tablet
The dual-end drive goes straight from the Digitizer into your phone or tablet. No cables, no computer in the middle.
Download and keep everything
Save every file to your phone, laptop, or cloud of choice. Nothing expires, nothing gets locked behind a plan.

The stuff people ask first
Do I need a computer?
No. The Digitizer records straight to a USB drive and has its own screen so you can watch as it saves. A computer only helps if you want to edit later.
Do I have to buy a USB drive?
No — a USB storage drive comes in the box along with the cables, power adapter, remote, and manual. You only need an extra drive if you're digitizing a very large collection.
Do I need a working VCR or camcorder?
Yes — the Digitizer captures what your player outputs. Any VCR or camcorder with red/white/yellow RCA jacks or S-Video works. Ours is not a tape player itself. Don't have one anymore? Contact us — we can help you track one down.
How long does one tape take?
Real time. A 2-hour tape takes 2 hours. Most people start one and go make dinner.
What if it doesn't work with my gear?
Message support before you give up — we troubleshoot 24/7. If it truly won't work, send it back inside 30 days for a full refund.
Are there monthly fees?
None. You buy the hardware once. The files live on your drive, not on our servers.
Every year you wait, the tape gets worse.
Magnetic tape loses quality whether you play it or not. Start with one tape this weekend.
